Our mission . . . The mission of NC Yorkie Rescue, Inc. is to rescue any Yorkshire Terrier or Yorkie mix, regardless of age or condition. We are dedicated to the security, protection and well-being of all Yorkies. Our desire is to educate all those who have a desire to learn about the Yorkshire Terrier breed. We ensure that only the best homes are found for our dogs so that they can live Happily Ever After.

We started this rescue organization because of our first Yorkshire Terrier, Bogie Housh who passed away. Therefore, we are totally committed to Yorkie rescues and forever dedicated to his memory. We are in the process of applying for our 501(c)(3). As a non-profit organization this will enable us to accept private and public grants and accept a tax-exempt status. We will rescue Yorkies or Yorkie mixes that need new homes. Elderly, young, special needs... it doesn't matter, we will try to help. We have verified fosters who can and will provide a loving and caring temporary home until a FOREVER HOME can be found for each Yorkie. We also have caring vets who will oversee the medical needs of each Yorkie.
We will make sure each Yorkie is spayed or neutered and up to date on all required vaccinations. We turn unhappy Yorkies into happy Yorkies by finding the best home of all for each of our Yorkies.
We are a small experienced rescue service. We gladly accept and rescue any Yorkie or Yorkie mix, regardless of age or condition.
We have many foster homes already verified and willing to foster until a wonderful forever home is found for each Yorkie, but we can always use more. If you would like to volunteer to Foster a Yorkie, Click on the "Forms" tab and fill out the Fostering Form. We spay/neuter our orphans along with ensuring they are up to date on vaccinations. We perform home checks on our potential adopters. Our adoption process starts by submitting your application. You must qualify to adopt one of our Yorkies.
