Every time you adopt a pet from NC Yorkie Rescue, Inc., you enable us to save the life of another Yorkie in great need, and finding a great companion has never been easier! The adoption fee varies with each doggie and helps to cover the cost of the care the animal has received, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, dental care, flea treatments and surgical procedures. You can fill out an Adopter Form online, just go the "Forms" tab. This form gathers information about your expectations of pet ownership and helps us determine which of our wonderful Yorkies might best suite your lifestyle. We do not make money on the yorkies we adopt to new families, we use whatever remaining money we have to help other yorkies in need If interested, please visit our website at www.NCYorkieRescue.org and fill out an application.  Michael Adult (M) | Michael is a very sweet five year old, seven pound male yorkie, who loves to play and is learning to walk on a leash. He is house trained with a doggie door and loves going outside! Michael will make an excellent companion for any family. He gets along well with other dogs, children and cats! Michael may be timid initially, but once he knows you - he is a remarkably loving and loyal. |
  Louie Adult (M) | Louie is the sweetest and most likable Yorkie ever!!!! He is a very young 8 years old and weighs 12 pounds. He has a very even and gentle personality. He is great with other dogs as he is not dominant and let's them be what they want to be. He now lives with a very domineering Yorkie and they get along fine and participate in roughhouse play every day without ever going to the next step. He is completely house broken and will come and get you if he needs to go out. He loves to eat and will beg for food and treats frequently. MOST of the time a firm NO will quiet him but sometimes that doesn't work and a treat is necessary. If in the night he needs to go out (which is rare) he will stand on you with his sharp little feet and 12 lbs. You will take him out. And, he is around 3 grand kids frequently, 2 and 3 year olds and he is fine. Other personality traits: LOVES the outdoors. HE LIVES IN A SECURELY FENCED YARD no one gets out and no one gets in. Barks at everything moving outside and he and the crows have a constant discussion. We have one crow in particular that loves aggravating Louie will sit in the yard until Louie full steam ahead gets within 10 feet and the crow gently lifts off and even at times flies over the yard very low to get Louie up and barking. A real lover boy and will take all the attention. |
 
Jacob Young (M)
| Located in the Reidsville - meet Jacob, a three year old 4 pound very bright little yorkie boy! Jacob needs to go to a special home that can give him the care he needs. After gaining your trust, Jacob has has little problem being handled and is a very sweet little guy. If he doesn't want to be picked up he will let it be known. Jacob is almost house broken, walks great on leash and will only to go a home with no children. Jacob has been neutered and micro chipped and is up to date on all of his shots.   Moulin Young (M)
| Moulin is a very sweet two year old, six pound male yorkie, who loves to play and is learning to walk on a leash. He is house trained with a doggie door and loves going outside! Moulin will make an excellent companion for any family. He gets along well with other dogs, children and cats! Moulin may be timid initially, but once he knows you - he is a remarkably loving and loyal! |
 
Bailey Young (M) | Meet Bailey - a very sweet yorkie boy. He is two years old and weighs 5 pounds. Bailey has been diagnosed with a mild liver shunt. Basically, this means that his liver is not functioning as it should. He is on a special low protein diet and has been doing well. It has been recommended that he be treated by diet alone at this time. Bailey is a "special needs" yorkie - serious inquiries only. |
 
Harlin Young (M) | Harlin is a very sweet three year old, four pound male yorkie, who loves to play and is learning to walk on a leash. He is house trained with a doggie door and loves going outside! Harlin will make an excellent companion for any family. He gets along well with other dogs, children and cats! Harlin may be timid initially, but once he knows you - he is a remarkably loving and loyal! |
